George Luke was the husband of the widowed sister of William Fitzhugh, and a grandson of Sir Samuel Luke of Woodend in Bedfordshire (made famous in English Literature by the pen of Butler as the hero of the great satire Hudibras. Source: Virginia Magazine of History and Biography, Vol. III, p. 167.
