Edward Mazingo

Among the spanish and portuguese who came to the colony was Edward Mazingo about 1652.  He first resided in Lancaster County, later Richmond County where he died. He planted tobacco and used this crop as a medium of exchange. He mentioned his tobacco house in his last will and testament dated 1753 in Richmond County, which is available for members of Virginia Pioneers to view online.
