Tombstone on the Brandon Estate

On the Lower James River on part of the Brandon estate known as the "Church Pastures" there is still to be observed the broken isolated grave-slab stamped with armorial bearings which informs us that John Tirrey "gentleman" was born in London in 1649 and died in Virginia in 1700.
