Wives Imported into the Colony Series: Sgt. Gabriell Hollande

Sgt. Gabriell Holland, reported as massacred in 1622, was not killed. As it turns out his first wife was killed. As a burgess in the colony, he returned twice to London on business and married two more times. One of these wives owned a small plot of land on the back swamp James River, which she inherited from a former husband, and the title of it went to Holland. The genealogy of the Holland family is traced back to ancient days on Virginia Pioneers
