Families from Barbadoes

Join this blog for more interesting information about the first patriots to Virginia whose sacrifices and actions led a path to the freedom which ultimately resulted in the American Dream.


A numerous body of emigrants first landed in Barbadoes before finally gaining transportation to the Virginia Colony. Among them were the Walkes of Lower Norfolk County and the Perrins and Marshalls of Elizabeth City County.
